James Gerard Foods joins “Restaurants against Cancer.”
James Gerard Foods has become a Corporate Sponsor for “Restaurants against Cancer,” a local Arizona organization that has been working to help cancer patients and their families since 2007. The organization first began reaching out to local suppliers for donations to the American Cancer Society’s “Camp Sunrise,” a program that offers a traditional summer-camp experience to children with cancer, while catering to the specific medical needs of each child.
“As a producer of one of the most basic needs in life, we find that we are in a unique position to give of ourselves,” says James Gerard Foods Chef and President, Sidney Brodsky. Giving back is important to Brodsky, who stresses the importance of responsible community action though support and engagement.

James Gerard Foods has been named as a finalist for the 2011 Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce IMPACT Awards, which are presented annually to Valley small businesses. The IMPACT Awards honor local businesses for outstanding achievement in the categories of community involvement, company culture, innovation, and response to adversity. The Chamber also names one Impact Business of the Year.
